Andrew and my Road trip to Arizona!

Andrew and I had a wonderful roadtrip!!!! We left on Thursday, Nov. 5.

After getting through Salt Lake City traffic we stopped in Lehi for Gas and MacDonald's!! YUM!

Our destination was ST. George the first day! Towards evening there was a gorgeous sunset!!
We arrived in St. George around 7:30 ish and found a room at the Ramada Inn after driving around looking for a good motel. The Hampton Inn was full, but the Ramada was just across the street! We checked in and after freshing up a bit went to find a good restaurant. We drove up and down the main drag by the mall and nothing sounded good, finally decided on the Brick Oven (which was just across the parking lot from our motel! haha)It's a good place to eat! They have pasta, pizza, calzones!!

After a refreshing nights sleep and yummy free continental breakfast, and a little bit of browsing in Barnes in Noble, we were off on the road again!

We made it through Las Vegas, and on to Hoover Dam. There are Port-a-potties up at the top of this construction!! No way would I dream of being up there!! Yikes!

Andrew and I finally made it to Juli's! it was a long day of driving through on and off construction, two way traffic roads with nothing but sage brush for scenery!! Then the next day we all got up and went to the Comic Convention! It was awesome! the minute we got there, people were waiting for Andrew to sign his poster!! He felt like finally someone liked his art work! Was great for his ego! Taylor was awesome! He can sketch out stuff sooooo fast!

After the comic convention, Juli and Mark and kids took Andy and I to Macaroni Grill, we ate till we were stuffed. Then we all went back to Juli's and rented movies, GiJoe, and Monster vs. Aliens. Was fun.
Sunday Morning came and all the kids voted to stay home with me and Andy while Juli and Mark went to church. Chase and I had a fun time sword fighting with his little play mobil knights. He's funny, kept quoting Monty Python and the holy grail, saying our knights were the knights who say "nee" hahaha!
I was supposed to be showing Quin how to make potatoe salad for our hamburgers later. But Quin was playing all kinds of music on her piano and Chase and I couldn't resist ballroom dancing! We did the Salsa and who knows what else. Needless to say we didn't get the salad done!! oooppps.
Later all the girls went to the big Arizona mall, and left the boys to their video games.

We were awfully sad to leave Arizona, Juli and her family and the beautiful warm weather. We thought we'd stop and see the Grand Canyon, but doddled too long with Juli and Chase so we didn't get there till after dark. So we thought we'd get a motel at the grand canyon and get up and see the sights the next morning! But i think we entered Arizona's burmuda triangle or the twilight zone cuz we drove and drove with no sign of a motel or any other people for a least 2 hours, so we decided to head up to Page. Finally we got there and we were so tired!!! But we got Pizza and ate in our motel room and slept. Thank heavens we got there!

After a very welcomed sleep, we got up and enjoyed another free breakfast! And were ready to start on another day's adventure!

This time we stopped at Glenn Canyon dam.... yes more dam pictures! :o)
It was a gorgeous day!

It was a lovely drive that day, went through some beautiful country! I highly recommend this drive in the autumn time! The leaves on the trees in the valley were all turning colors and falling! We had a great day!

After driving all day, we made it to Cabela's just outside of Salt Lake city about 5 ish. We dicided to take some pics with the fish!!
Andrew was very patient when I made him go to the "Quilted Bear" It's my all time favorite craft store!!! We got Mom a b-day present. Then Jim had gotten us a room at the radison on priceline. So we went there! It has sleep number beds!! Then we ate at P.F. Chang's Yumo!! Then back for a wonderful nights rest on the sleep number beds!

I had a terrible time getting Andy up and out of the sleep number beds!! I was ready to go shoppin!!

We wandered the gateway mall and ate at Z'tejos .. they have awesome catfish tacos!! Highly recommend eating there. Andy and I didn't want to go home, but we finally headed on our way about 3 ish after shopping until we were worn out. What a fun time we had. I highly recommend a one on one road trip with someone you love. We had silly moments, deep thoughtful moments, and just a fun time getting to know each other more. Already planning another road trip for next year's comic convention! Andy, you better get busy drawing your picture for it!
