It's been awhile..

I can't believe how time flies!! Seems it was just barely March and now it's almost over. We haven't done much.. we've all been fighting sinus and ear infections and the crud that's been going around.
Both Jim and I have been working as usual. Andy is still looking for a job.. no one is hiring around here. Sarah has decided to go for her associates degree and has enrolled in BYU-Idaho to finish. She's taking 4 classes and starts April 20. I'm going to do all I can to help her get that degree. Then she'll have something to show for all this time at school! Yay Sarah!!

Jim did celebrate his 45 Birthday on the 21st. Andy, Sarah and I took him to Red Robin to celebrate.

I also made a yummy cheesecake for his birthday.. Cheesecake is Jim's favorite. I found a good recipe on Foodtv.com. It's Alton Brown's Sourcream cheesecake. And it's posted on Youtube so you can watch a video of how to do it. It's the best cheesecake I've ever made. We had Strawberries and whipped cream on top. Here are some pics of him blowing out his candle...

Glad he still gets that excited look in his eyes!

Now it's off to church. Can't believe how windy it is.. Yuck! We're supposed to get 50 miles an hour wind gusts!! Where is spring?

This ones for the Girls!!

One for the girls
Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my shape to keep.
Please no wrinkles, Please no bags
And please lift my butt before it sags.
Please no age spots, Please no gray
And as for my belly, Please take it away.
Please keep me healthy, Please keep me young,
And thank you Dear Lord, For all that you've done.

Five tips for a woman....
1. It is important that a man helps you around the house and has a job.
2. It is important that a man makes you laugh.
3. It is important to find a man you can count on and doesn't lie to You.
4. It is important that a man loves you and spoils you.
5. It is important that these four men don't know each other. Ha-ha

Foot Note:
One saggy boob said to the other saggy boob:
'If we don't get some support soon, people will think we're nuts.'

Hope I made a few of you laugh!!! :o)

Happy Birthday Sarah!

It was Sarah's 22nd b-day Friday, the 20th. So Grandma and Grandpa and I (Andy was home sick and JIm had to work) took her to Red Robin!! Yum!! love their Fries and sauce!!

It was fun, but unfortunately Sarah is still trying to get over a bad cold and wasn't feeling at her best. So we visited, and she even got Happy Birthday sang to her and a free icecream sunday!! (Thanks to me!!)

Earlier in the day, I had made a pot of homemade chicken soup to take to Sarah to kick her cold, and a lemonade cheesecake pie with fresh blueberries for her to take home to share with her roomies.. We also bought grapejuice and vicks vapor rub and new sock monkey slippers to help her get better!! I haven't heard yet if it helped!
Hope the chicken soup helped. She gets to start at Red Robin today!!

Here's my latest project with my cricut machine!!! I love the web site treasured thoughts in vinyl!!

Today I'm going to experiment with making pot stickers!! I get the lean cuisine pot sticker meal and love it.. so I'll see what I come up with!!!
My losing weight has hit a slump.. I gained a couple and am having trouble getting motivated again!!! I think I need the sun to come out and the birds to sing... I have spring fever sooo bad...
JIm had to work another weekend.. both 12 hour days... so Andy and I stay home and try to keep busy with stuff we need to do!! And tomorrow starts another work week.. Blah.. I need a vacaton!!

Doesn't this look peaceful and wonderful??

Happy Valentines Day!!

Well, it's been awhile since I've posted anything.
We had our combined YM/YW's last Tues. and learned 'Cotton eyed Joe"!! It was fun and went well.
I made sloppy joes, and we had chips, and vegi's with ranch dressing. Then we danced, Deana Packer is a really good teacher and lots of fun (she used to be Deana Hill, and her dad owned Bill HIll's grocery store here in Groveland, where we used to ride our bikes and get candy!) It was sooooo fun!! Everyone seemed to be having a good time, and man, it was a work out!!! I sweated more dancing than when I workout on our eliptical machine!!
Afterwards we had cherry and strawberry cheesecake!! I made small ones in cupcake liners with the jello cheesecake mix! had to have lots of food to bribe the boys there.
I"m glad it's done and it went well, now I'm not in charge of combined again until September!! what will I do to top this last one!!
Oh.. I had Andy bring my camera cuz I forgot it and we wanted to have a poster with pics on it for every one to look at this Sunday, but I took one pic and my camera died!! How Sad... but here's my one pic of us eating!!

Today is Valentine's Day! JIm and Andy both gave me flowers!!These are the one's Jim gave me.

And these are the one's Andy got me!!

Last night Jim and I went to Outback Steak house for Valentines Dinner. I got Boomerang Shrimp and garlic mashed potatoes!! Yum!! Jim got ribs and fries, but it was kind of dry. He was disappointed, and it was really expensive.
So to make up for it, we bought Rib eye steaks, and grilled them, and topped them with sauteed mushrooms and onions, that were cooked in Balsamic vinegar and red wind vinegar, with a little brown sugar!! It was Yummy!!and steamed asparagas on the side. I think we'll just not eat out very much anymore.. it's cheaper to cook at home!!
And that's about it for now... today I cleaned the house and gave all my house plants "haircuts"! They look much better!! I have spring fever really bad. Can't wait for it to warm up and be spring.. I even heard birds chirping the other day on the way to my car before work!!!

Some good thoughts

I took this picture out the back door.. the sun was just going down and the fog was rolling in.. it look awesome...

This should probably be taped to your bathroom mirror where one could read it every day.
You may not realize it, but it's 100% true.
1. There are at least two people in this world that you would die for.
2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way.
3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you.
4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.
5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.
6. You mean the world to someone.
7. You are special and unique.
8.. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.
9. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.
10. When you think the world has turned its back on you, take another look.
11. Always remember the compliments you received..Forget about the rude remarks.

Good friends are like stars..... You don't always see them, But you know they are always there.

'Whenever God Closes One Door He Always Opens Another, Even Though Sometimes It's Hell in the Hallway.'
I would rather have one rose and a kind word from a friend while I'm here than a whole truck load when I'm gone.

Happiness keeps You Sweet,
Trials keep You Strong,
Sorrows keep You Human,
Failures keeps You Humble,
Success keeps You Glowing,
But Only
God keeps You Going

'Worry looks around, sorry looks back, Faith looks up.'

Kruz sent me this e-mail.. thought I'd share it!! Thanks Kruz!!

Quote of the Week!!

"The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh or cry. I prefer to laugh. Crying gives me a headache."
Marjorie Pay Hinckley

I loved this quote... I love the Hinckley's. Just thought I'd share it.

I wish I was here....instead of in the cold!!
